Airport Security

"I'm terribly sorry, Ma'am, but that hair gel is more than three ounces, so you cannot bring that with you."

"Screw you, asshole!" I had thought. "Ooh, I'm gonna poision someone by putting hair gel in their eyes! Whoopee!"

A few days ago when I arrived home, I heard that. Let's face it, folks, the Transportation Security Administration's latest regulations are bullcrap. All carry-ons that are toiletries must be placed in a plastic bag, one bag only. Oh, and that one bag cannot be more than three ounces.

"But it's almost through anyways," my mom had replied.

"Doesn't matter, ma'am."

These regulations are ridiculous. You people make me sick. You're rushing to conclusions based on impulsions. Stop it! What you guys don't seem to get is that terrorists are geniuses. I hate to admit it, but it's true. My dad asked me that same day "Do you think 9/11 would have happened if the current regulations were in order back then?"
"Of course it would, Dad!" More on terrorists being geniuses:
They would have managed it. Maybe not easily, but they would have managed. When these terrorists are set on a plot, they will not back down. Their racial hatred and self-centeredness is too deep for that to ever happen.

"How would they have managed 9/11, then?"

It's possible they would have managed it the same way as they did- airplanes. They would have just been late to do it. Or, possibly they would have managed it through another vehicle, such as a bus. Maybe not enough people would have been killed, but SOME were. This is in fact a great thing that lives were saved, but SOME of our civil liberties were taken away. Take your choice: Take 'em all, or none. Besides, taking all of them would be a massive abuse of authority, if nothing else.
This also goes hand-in-hand with my "War In Iraq" rant. Terrorism will never be stopped. It's sad, but true. Terrorists will keep thinking up new ways to bomb us.
